Coir pith or cocopeat is like a corky tissue obtained in the process of extracting the coir
fibre from the husk of the coconut fruit. Cocopeat is stored in beds for washing with clean and soft water to remove the impurities and reduce the electrical conductivity.

The washed coir pith is then dried in concrete drying yards thereby reducing the moisture content to less than 15%
